EJOT DELTA PT®
is a thread-forming or tapping screw for plastics (especially thermoplastics). The EJOT DELTA PT® screw has been developed with the knowledge gained in many years of screwing thermoplastics. A new robust fastener has been developed that provides safety even in the limit range of constructions and operating conditions.

Direct screw-fittings for plastics allow thin-walled and flat constructions. Thus, for injection moulding, materials can be saved and cycle times reduced. Considering the overall fastening costs for a component, direct screw-fitting solutions provide considerable potential for savings.
Compared to conventional thread flanks of sheet metal screws with a flank angle of 60°, the optimised flank angle of the EJOT DELTA PT® screw reduces radial extension. The angle of 20° or 30° only generates low radial extension so that thin-walled construction is possible. The great axial component allows the formed plastic material to optimally flow off.
High tensile and torsion strength
The increased core cross section enhances tensile and torsion strength of the DELTA PT® screw so that high preload-forces and tightening torques can be achieved even in high-strength thermoplastics.
High resistance to vibration
The design of the thread pitch allows high resistance to vibration. The screw cannot loosen itself.
Increased dynamic load
The recently introduced core profiling results in an even higher security. The fatigue strength of the screw is considerably increased by the enhanced core cross section and the optimised thread profile. For further increase of security, the thread ridge was stabilised at the root to increase security against flank break. Thanks to the optimised pitch resulting in an increased thread engagement, the probability that a fatigue fracture occurs is reduced as well. Factor 1.5.
